Lives and works in The Hague

I have always been fascinated with portraiture art, which reflects both in my past and recent work. Often inspired by photographs, I try to portray my subjects in their true state by painting them with a strong gaze and by layering the face with mask-like details. My working process becomes a journey to discover my true self-identity since most of my works are self-portraits. I find this way of working and presenting portraits in a painting to be the ultimate personal story.
